Beach Club Font De Sa Cala in Mallorca needed an improved website design to match their spectacular hotel complex. As a truly sports based facility, the hotel wanted to promote their sports based group trips to the British, German and Scandinavian markets.
The hotel was not interested in updating the site in-house so we built a stunning looking HTML 5 site that not only looked great but was fast loading.
We designed an eye-catching slider to demonstrate the four main group activities the hotel has to offer. Directly underneath the slider we introduced the four main call to actions of the site.
The main purpose of the site is to offer discounts for group bookings. The hotel is promoted heavily in Norway throughout local health and sports clubs. The site advertises a discount code that then links onto the contact form. Users are then able to contact the hotel via the form and then receive a unique discount tailored to their specific requirements.
The hotel’s previous site was very amateurish and not at all responsive. Given that mobile traffic has increased significantly over the years, a site that does not render well on mobile devices is not ideal and leads to huge bounce rates.
The home page of the site also included a scrolling gallery with lightbox to showcase the high-end hotel accommodation and facilities. Additionally, there is a section to alert potential customers that the hotel is also able to arrange discounts for local excursions and activities.
The site has proven to be a real success for the hotel and generated lots of international enquiries. Salvador, head of marketing, is delighted with the new site and the response from customers, “The site not only looks great, but has generated lots of sales for the hotel. We are in the process of having it translated into more languages to suit visitors whose English isn’t always the best”
